JazakumuAllah Khairan to our volunteers and staff who sacrificed their own ibadah to ensure that every one else was accomodated. May Allah accept all our acts of worship during the month of Ramadan and continue to bless our community in coming together for His sake.

Due to no credible moon sighting, we will complete the 30 days of Sha’ban and Ramadan will start on Thursday, March 23, 2023, the first day of fasting, insha Allah. We will be starting Taraweeh prayer on Wednesday, March 22 after Isha (9:15 PM).

General Ramadan Evening Schedule:

  • Short Khatira 9:00- 9:10 PM
  • Taraweeh 9:15- 10:15 PM (~1 hr)
  • Quran Recitation (After Fajr and before Iftar)
Be considerate:
        – Follow the rules.
        – Avoid talking loudly when the taraweeh prayer is going on.
        – Ensure your cell phones are off or on silent mode.
        – Insha-Allah there will be plenty food to go round – remember the principle of “ithar” (giving preference to others).
        – Staff and volunteers are doing their best so if you have a concern, please express it gently and they will try to address it.

Safety:
        – Sisters should avoid walking alone after taraweeh or before qiyam prayers. Either try to get rides with families or at least be in groups.
        – Everyone needs to watch out for any unusual behavior of strangers.

Before the Eid ul Fitr prayer, every self-supporting Muslim adult who has food in excess of his needs must pay Zakat ul Fitr. Zakat ul Fitr is $10 per person in a family. We encourage everyone to send your zakat directly to relief organizations on their sites. If you would like ICBCS to distribute it for you, please pay by the 27th day of Ramadan. Here is the link: zakat.icbcs.org
